Globex Mining completes aeromagnetic survey in Quebec

2020-06-30 11:44 ET – News Release

Mr. Jack Stoch reports

Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. has completed the 2,000-kilometre, 25-metre-spacing detailed aeromagnetic survey over its 100-per-cent-owned Francoeur/Arntfield/Lac Fortune gold mines property, Beauchastel and Dasserat townships, west of Rouyn-Noranda, Que.

The initial magnetic maps are of excellent quality and more than meet the company’s expectations that the detail provided by the survey will allow Globex to trace gold-bearing horizons and structures in areas of overburden cover and predict displacement caused by faulting.

In fact, the company is so pleased with the new data and the unravelling of certain geological questions that it has decided to fly a number of other project areas. The company recently completed a similar survey on its Laguerre-Knutson gold mine property, located near Larder Lake, Ont., the Napping Dwarf gold property, tying onto the west side of the Sleeping Giant gold mine, and the Blackcliff gold mine property, east of Malartic (in conjunction with Altai Resources Inc.).

The company decided to fly a significant number of other Globex properties over the next several months.

A crew is currently on the Francoeur/Arntfield/Lac Fortune gold mines property for mapping, sampling and prospecting, in part, on selected targets as a follow-up to the aeromagnetic survey.
